Homemade dog food recipe this batch should feed one large and small dog for a week. I buy most of ingredients at either Costco or Winco foods because you can buy in bulk and therefore save. My friend Keri got me started on making my dogs food.

Recipe:

cook 2 cups of brown or jasmine rice

1 pound on ground turkey or ground beef

2.5 pounds of mixed medley of veggies (I purchased the big 5.5 labs bags at Costco that contain broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and squash)

Cook it all up and then mix it all together and store in a bowl in your fridge until ready to serve. It should keep for a week if properly refrigerated. A weekly batch cost me about $12 a week. My store bought dog food cost my $9.50 a week. So the store bought cost less but not by much. For me the benefit out weighs the cost. My dogs gas does not offend me anymore and there coats are shiny.
