Amazing Staycation Deals Happening NowJune 19, 2018
Spend every weekend away with these staycation deals! Once the summer hits our state, it’s sometimes hard to see the bright side to the heat. But valley hotels are giving you great incentives to stay! Right now you can stay in resorts that you never thought you could afford…most are offering at least half off of their regular rates!
So where should you spend your cash? Here are some of my favorites:
We-Ko-Pa Resort and Conference Center in Fountain Hills has a deal that makes it worth your while not to leave the resort. Pay $99 for one night or $189 for two nights. That includes a $50 food and beverage credit per two-night stay, a $10 casino free play per stay, 25% off regular-priced spa services and the resort fee is waived upon check-out.
Gainey Suites Hotel has rates starting at $104 with tons of incentives including suites with a full kitchen, a free hot breakfast buffet daily, an evening reception with free hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine and free Wi-Fi. You also get 25% off the Terrace Bar and 10% off Soi-4 Bangkok Eatery next door. All of this and no resort fee! You can get this deal on their website using promo code “SUITE18.”
The Scottsdale Plaza Resort has two great deals:The Summer Escape Package will cost $149 per room per night. That includes a $100 resort credit that can be used on food, beverage or the spa and the resort fee is waived upon check-in. The Family Fun Package includes a villa or patio suite for $159 per room per night, four tickets to Big Surf Water Park (additional tickets are available for $20) and kids under 12 eat free at the resort with a paying adult.
Gila River Casinos is touting $69 rates. Great prices, especially since they don’t charge resort fees and parking and free Wi-Fi at Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino, Vee Quiva Hotel and Casino and Lone Butte Hotel and Casino.
The Clarendon Hotel in midtown Phoenix has a great deal: Pay only $79 for a deluxe room, plus complimentary breakfast.
At Tempe Mission Palms pay $129 per night and get a $50 food and drink credit, late check-out, and no resort fee.
Rates start at $99 at Talking Stick Resort. There’s no resort fee and depending on how long you stay you’ll get a $25 or $50 credit.
The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix has rates starting at $89 per night.
Arizona residents can get a good deal at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass. Rates start at $99 if you stay Friday through Sunday.
Another deal for Arizona residents is at The Saguaro Scottsdale. Rates start at $79 per night! That includes a $30 food and drink credit but you have to stay two nights.
Rates start at $179 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, with a $50 credit per night.
The Westin Kierland in Scottsdale has rates starting at $109 using the promo code “SCOTTSDL”.
At the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia, the longer you stay, the more you save with their Summer Stay and Save Program. Get 10% off their lowest rate for one night, 15% off for two nights and 20% off for three nights.
The Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Phoenix has rates starting from $199 per night. Plus you get a $25 daily dining credit and there’s no resort fee.
Another good deal is at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Resort. Rates for the Suite Summer Escape package starts at $99 a night and requires a minimum two-night stay.
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch is giving you a nightly credit of $50 per night by using the code “COOL50”. The lowest rate I found is $169.
Stay two nights at the Wigwam and get their Centennial Thank You package that gets you a $100 credit per stay. You’ll need to use the promo code “THANKYOU”.
The Moxy Phoenix in Tempe has a Summer Hibernation package that requires a two-night stay. Rates start at $89 per night and it includes a $50 credit, a bucket of beer and late checkout.
One thing that can make staycations hard to plan is what to do with the kids.
The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North has you covered with their Kids for All Seasons program. It’s like having a free sitter for kids ages 5-12 years old! Their rates start at $189 per night.
DAPHNE’S POINTERS: For many of these deals, you must call to get the discount or use a promo code online.
Pay attention to deals that promise rates “starting at”. Often time there is up to at $40 difference between weekend and weekday rates. Also, resort and parking fees can add a big chunk to your bill–up to $50 per night.
So always read the fine print and don’t be afraid to negotiate when you check in…whether it be asking for a free upgrade or turning down services to get rid of resort fees.
