Make a BBQ pork meal that feeds the entire family for $4.25May 22, 2018
Make a BBQ pork loin country ribs meal for the entire family for just $4.25. All the items you will need you can find on sale at Bashas’ this week.
I took a look at the items on sale this week at Bashas’ and scored big time. I made a slow cooker BBQ pork loin country style ribs meal with ranch style beans for just $4.25. Prep time was a total of 10 minutes or less and the majority of the meal was cooked in the crock pot.
The recipe requires 2 to 2.5 pounds of pork ribs. I used pork loin country style ribs with bone-in since they are on sale ($.87/lb at Bashas’).
1/2 onion ($.99/lb at Bashas’)
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
8 oz of BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s 18oz bottle on sale at Bashas’ for $.99)
2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1/2 cup water
How to make
Slice the onion and place in the crock pot, add the pork (cut them so they fit), then add all the spices and garlic. Add the BBQ sauce on top along with the water. Cover with lid and cook on high for 4 hours or on medium for 6 hours. Of course these times can vary depending on your crock pot.
Heat up a can of baked beans as a side dish (Bashas’ ranch style beans 15 oz can is on sale for $.99)
