Red Grape Salsa Recipe

2 cups of red seedless cost $.77 (on sale at Bashas’ for $.77/lb up to 6 lbs)

1 small on-the-vine tomato cost $.42 (on sale at Bashas’ for $.77/lb)

2 green onions, chopped, cost $.05 (regular price 2 for $1.00 at Bashas’)

1/3 cup chopped red onion cost $.32 (regular price $1.29/lb at Bashas’)

1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

1 pinch of salt

Chopped cilantro cost $.25 (regular price 2 for $1 at Bashas’)

Chop grapes and tomato into small chunks. Mix together with green onion, red onion, red wine vinegar, salt and cilantro. Chill before serving.

Total cost to make with items on sale at Bashas’ = $1.81

Beef Taco Recipe

1 lb ground beef cost $1.99 (on sale at Bashas’ 80% lean ground beef for $1.99/lb sold in a value pack, up to two packages)

2 tbsp shredded cheese cost $.22 (on sale at Bashas’ Food Club shredded or chunk cheese $1.77 for 6-8 ounce package)

1 avocado cost $.75 (on sale at Bashas’ for $.77 each)

4 uncooked tortilla cost $1 (Nanas uncook tortillas a 12 pack for $2.99 at Bashas’)

Cook the tortilla in a frying pan and then remove to a plate and pile on your ingredients and enjoy. The grape salsa and sweetness really turn these simple tacos in to a fiesta for your mouth. Full of flavor in my opinion and it costs a little over $1 when you add the cost of the red grapes. Plus the entire meal took about 30 minutes.

Total cost to make 4 tacos = $3.96, so basically $1 per taco
