DIY antibacterial cleaner for less than $1April 12, 2018
HOMEMADE ALL PURPOSE CLEANER
I love to save money and I really don’t like spending money on household cleaners. Let me share with you a recipe for making your own all-purpose household cleaner for less than a $1. Homemade disinfectant also means you are not using any harsh chemicals.
This cleaner is great on hands, toys, toilets, kitchen counters, sinks, and just about anything that needs to be cleaned in your household. It’s also great on doorknobs and sink handles when the flu hits home.
The supplies include an empty spray bottle, tea tree oil, distilled water and Castile soap.
Pour 2 cups of distilled water into the spray bottle
3 tablespoons of Castile soap
20 drops of tea tree oil (I purchase all my essential oils from Bulkapothecary.com, they have great prices and you can save by buying in bulk)
So a store brand antibacterial all-purpose spray costs about $2.99 and up depending on where and what ingredients are inside. My homemade cleaner cost me less than a dollar. It smells great, too! So try out this simple recipe the next time you’re doing some cleaning around the house.
