Phoenix Tools 4 School

As the summer months draw to a close, back to school shopping is on the mind of most families across the country. Schools often provide detailed lists of items spanning from pencils to paper to inexpensive composition books to pricey calculators. Shopping lists can be overwhelming, especially when you have to buy for multiple children. HeroZona is here to help alleviate that school shopping burden.

Phoenix Tools 4 School, a charity event hosted by HeroZona, is Arizona’s largest backpack drive with a goal of supplying over 10,000 families with school supplies.

On July 27, families can attend this free community event from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix. HeroZona will be providing students with the basic tools needed to go back to school and focus on their education rather then worry about the burden of purchasing supplies.

Phoenix Tools 4 School will be providing students with school items such as backpacks, writing utensils, notebooks and more for students in kindergarten to 8th grade. The event will also feature free breakfast, games, and workshops.

This 7th annual event will also include College Readiness Workshops for 7th & 8th graders. Workshops will be hosted by Maricopa Community Colleges and Arizona State University as a way of providing students the skills and information needed to gear them toward higher education.

The event is expected to draw in about 15,000 attendees so it is suggested you arrive early as supplies are limited. For more information on this event visit their website here.
