Unclog that shower head using vinegar
Taking a shower can be a pain if the water is not flowing out of your shower head properly. I have a simple and inexpensive solution.
In the Valley, we have hard water, so it is not uncommon for your shower head to get clogged. Don’t go out and buy a new shower head. Instead, grab some distilled vinegar and a large bowl to get that shower
If you have a shower head that unscrews, twist off it from your shower. Then grab a large bowl and fill it with distilled vinegar. Fill enough so the shower head will be covered and floating in the vinegar. Let the shower head sit in the vinegar for 15 minutes. If your showerhead has a brass or gold finish, don’t soak for more than 30 minutes at a time, and keep an eye on it because it could tarnish the finish on the shower head. Once finished, take the shower head out of the bowl and scrape off any leftover mineral deposits with a brush. Then reinstall the shower head and run water through to remove any remaining residue. Now you should have a smooth flowing shower head.
If you have a shower head that is not removable from your shower, you can still soak in distilled vinegar. Just grab a plastic bag without any holes and cover your shower head with the plastic bag and distilled vinegar inside the plastic bag. Then wrap a rubber band around the plastic bag to secure it over the shower head and let it sit overnight. Same process when it has soaked for a few hours in vinegar remove the plastic bag and vinegar then take a brush and scrape off any excess minerals. Then turn on your shower and run water through shower head for a few minutes to remove any additional residue.
You can follow this process anytime your shower head starts to get clogged.
