How to Remove Olive Oil Stains at Home (No Dry Cleaner Needed!)
Olive oil stain on your shirt? Don’t panic, Smart Shoppers — before you run off to the dry cleaner, try this easy DIY trick that actually worked for me!
I recently spilled olive oil on one of my favorite shirts. Instead of tossing it or paying for professional cleaning, I grabbed a household staple: Dawn dish soap. 💪
Here’s what I did:
Dab off the excess oil immediately – the quicker, the better.
Apply Dawn directly to the stain, gently scrub it in, then rinse.
Repeat 2–3 times until the stain disappears.
Important: Don’t put the shirt in the dryer until the stain is completely gone! Heat will set the oil stain permanently.
The result? My shirt looks good as new!
